Digging deeper into Google App Engine

There continue to be a ton of posts detailing the pro and cons of Google App Engine as more and more people start to dive into it and see what it can do. Me? I still don’t have an account.

High Scalability takes a second look at App Engine. Their take: a cautious thumbs-up, for now.

Alex Bosworth also examines, like I did last week, the similarities and differences between Amazon’s Web Services offerings and Google App Engine.

Finally, Niall Kennedy digs deep into GAE and shares a great deal of good information.

I also spent some time this weekend digging through the application gallery. A few are interesting, most are crap, but it’s only been a week or so. Things will improve, I hope.
