Where The Magic Happens: Part 4
Over the last few months, I’ve asked some higher ed web folks to show off where they work their magic. This time, it’s my turn. Here’s my office in Bentley Hall, built in the 1820’s and the first building on our campus. It’s neat to think about all the people over almost 200 years who have lived, learned and worked in this space. I’ve stitched together a few photos, but sadly you’re missing the wall with the corkboard and the retired numbers of students (and some part-timers) who have done awesome work for us over the years. You also can’t see my “Top Walker” plaque - I was the top money-raiser for the Meadville area March of Dimes in 2007.
I’ve added a few notes to the Flickr page.
Past Offices:
Brad Ward
Kyle James
Karine Joly

Oh! Fun! I love peeping into other people’s spaces. We just got a sweet new white board, so we volunteer to share our space any time!!!
Do you have a door? If so I’m very jealous.
I love the retired numbers thing. That’s hilarious and awesome.
I’ve switched offices three times in the past six months. First, because the PR department moved to a new building. Went from a cube to my own office. Then web services became its own department. Got moved again. To the basement. It happens…
Might steal the retired numbers idea tho…
@Kyle, yes I have a door. It took me a few years to get one, then a few more years to not have to share my space with students. It was well worth the wait (he says, knowing they will probably move students in with him soon)
