Live from CUPRAP
I presented the second half of a workshop today at the CUPRAP Conference in Hershey, PA with Karine Joly. Technology snafus aside, it was awesome. People were into it, had a million questions about Twitter and really were engaged and interested.
I think it was one of the best presentations I’ve ever done – it was great and thanks to Twitter I’ve been able to get some early feedback:
How great is Twitter for instant feedback? I was pleasantly surprised so many people in the room were Twitter users, if not for their institutions, at least for themselves. The people I had a chance to talk to afterwards were excited about going back to their institutions after this conference and implement some of the things we talked about today.
Thanks to everyone Brad Ward at BlueFuego for his slide about foundation building. I took that and built on it. Thank you also to everyone else who answered questions I had over the last week or so over email and Twitter. It was very helpful.

Great slides! Was hoping for a uStream of the talk, sounds like it went really well! Kudos.
Glad to hear your presentation went well and I enjoyed reading the content on your slides!

Hi Mike,
Was wondering if there was any chance you could send me the document as an attachment. Buzz is looming over it.
Thanks!

Hi Mike,
Kristen from Penn State Behrend’s alumni office here.
Thanks for posting this presentation.
I have been using Twitter for our alumni office since January because Erie Blogs (aka you) encouraged it.
I was wondering what your thoughts are on following people/alumni.
How do I identify what tweeps are alumni? Do I want to follow all alumni? Should twitter be used as a networking tool for the alumni (and if yes, how can I facilitate that)?
I’d love any advice!
Kristen
