I&#039;m using Rackspace Cloud Files for a site of mine and it seems you cannot force a Content-Encoding: gzip header on files served via the CDN. Without this header, the user&#039;s browser won&#039;t know to unzip files on receipt.

Leaves me wondering whether I&#039;m better off serving JS and CSS without a CDN but gzipped or with a CDN un-gzipped?</description>
